TEST RUN MEME!

Welcome to the Test Run meme! Post characters you intend to play with their name and canon in the subject line. If you like, you can also include whether they're Players, Reapers or RG. Participation in the meme may be used as the sample post in the application. Please assume the game is taking place in whatever type of scenery you like. We encourage you to make up your own scenarios in this meme, but here are some generic ideas:

Players
1. You've discovered you can't fight the Noise on your own! Get out there and forge a pact with someone! After that, kick some ass!

2. You're looking for clues for the mission. Fire up your player pin and scan some RGer's minds, or see if you can find a Reaper that's willing to spill the beans.

3. Your timer is gone - you did it! Celebrate your victory and another day of survival. Why not visit some of the game-sanctioned stores and reward yourself? You're visible in any building with the Reaper Decal!

Reapers
1. Today you're on duty. Set up walls throughout the city and challenge Players to meet your conditions, or just sic your Noise and be done with them!

2. Your usual duty as a Reaper has gotten a little stale. Why not liven things up with some Reaper Sports? Challenge your fellow Players and Reapers to hide and seek, tag, or even a player hunt - for a wager of course! Or maybe the bet is over, and the winner is ready to collect?

3. No one said a Reaper has to be all work and no play. The Players completed the mission for today, so now you're free to live it up! As long as you don't go outside the permanent barriers, of course. If you're hanging out with RGers, you may have to make an excuse or two.

RGers

1. Play tourist. Since this is a test meme, the sights you see are whatever you like! Go out and have fun with your friends. Alternatively, assume that the world you're transported to is terribly dangerous, and try to survive!

2. You're wondering why you were given this Ouija board when you arrived. Try it out - maybe you'll find some answers?

3. You can't seem to shake this negative attitude, and it's only getting worse. You've been possessed by Noise! Try not to go crazy! (Or don't - isn't that part of the fun?)

[Riku wasn't exactly cut out to be a predator.

More like, he flatly refused. All he had to attribute his wiry wings to was the promise of keeping his powers and Keyblade - his ticket off this world and back where he needed to be. He couldn't actually be-- Yeah.

The Conductor could've put it in the fine print that they'd accounted for world-hopping already and it was a no-no.

So until he figured out something better, he was kept to frowning with his back against invisible walls. A Reaper had to live somehow, after all, as much as it stunk.

Come on, Players. He'll make it easy for you.]

[Nope, No players here this day just someone in an Org coat (It's the only thing she owns, okay?) giving you a long, hard stare down.

This isn't the Riku she knows. Riku has much longer hair and he wouldn't be dead.

Riku can't die, so there is no way that this is him because it can't be him and isn't it funny how her fake heart is pounding even though this isn't him?]

[When Riku spots her, he's frowning but not moving. He figures that whoever you are, you're bound by the Game's rules same as him, at least until the mission's over. And it's not a great idea to fight other Reapers, if you want to keep your spot.

That doesn't mean he's not wary.]

[She's approaching now. Trying to figure out just where and when everything went wrong.]

Why are you here?

...playing it as Riku seeing her as herself. Yup.

[At the female voice his frown is turning into one of confusion. Who--?

Well, at least it's not another Xehanort. That's something to be thankful for.

He's gesturing vaguely over his shoulder with a hand, tone still suspicious.]

Manning a wall?

[Sorry, Xion. Riku's not Sora. He's not about to show his cards first.]

[She hopes it'll be clearer that she meant 'Why are you dead', with that, and she stops a few feet from him nervously.]

[He's getting that. And the question's confusing him. Why would anyone possibly associated with the old Organization want to know...?

This doesn't make any sense. The apparent concern doesn't make any sense. Plan of attack? Frown, stare, wait for elaboration on motives.

Anything to avoid dealing with the idea that he might be dead.]

[You've been under careful observation for some time now, Riku. Are you aware of that? Not the whole day, of course; he has his own things to do. But for the last few minutes, he's been up and out of the way, keeping an eye out for Players as well as surveying his fellow Reapers.

After all, it's incredibly risky to play when you don't even know the cards in your own hand.]

Looks like someone's having a busy day.

[He might've felt someone lurking but even if he did, he was choosing to ignore it.

Though maybe he shouldn't have. Joshua. Now there's someone he wasn't expecting to see again so soon. And while he recognizes that everything in the sleeping worlds was a dream, and therefore anyone he met there would not remember the events contained therein, he isn't processing that fast enough to keep himself from jumping a little and blurting,]

Joshua?

[...Of everyone in that Traverse Town, Josh had seemed like a weird case anyway. Here's... hoping against hope?]

[... nope! So sorry, Riku. No sign of recognition here. At least, unless you're counting this brief flicker of something unreadable. This isn't the first time today that someone he's never met before has recognized him.

This day is just intent on becoming even more stressful, isn't it? Hmm.]

[He's stuttering over himself a little as his sense catches up with his mouth, but--

Josh, your ambiguous speech is misleading. That could be a sidestep of admitting you remember. Luckily Riku knows how you talk, by now, so he's not too sure.]

--Uh. Yeah.

[...Though now that he thinks about it, the Game sounds kind of like... the Game that Josh and everyone else had mentioned...

But Josh had different wings then.]

You're stuck working, too, huh?

[Of course it's misleading. He's doing it on purpose, you know. He's never met you in his life... but, apparently, you have. Vaguely pretending is a small price to pay to find out exactly what you know.]

[Only Riku isn't going to offer that information so easily. Not like Sora, anyway. In response to Joshua's words he's crossing his arms.]

I think there's a tradeoff either way.

You again? [Axel sighs even though it is sort of nice to see someone he knows. Sort of. Even though he happens to dislike Riku quite a lot for some reason he can't quite fathom] Great... this place is worse than I thought.

[Riku's looking up, startled at that voice, because he thought you went back to Radiant Garden. He's totally misinterpreting that second line, Axel.]

Ax-- Lea? [He's trying, he's trying.] What are you doing here?

[If he'd taken just a second longer to process, he'd notice your face was different. But as it is.]

[Axel stares at him for a moment, taken aback by the name, and by the fact that Riku isn't mad at him or something. To his knowledge, they have no reason to be on friendly terms] Don't... call me that. And I have no idea. Trying to figure that out.

[There's immediate recognition in his eyes, though less surprise than there would have been a while ago. If Joshua's here, then it only makes sense that you and anyone else from Traverse Town might be here, too.

He's smiling a little.]

--Depends. What do you have? Any pins to spare?

[Are you going to argue with the person actually looking at your face, Riku? No, she thought not! -- Moving on without actually giving him the chance.]

And of course I don't have any pins to spare! I worked hard for those! And I won't have enough to buy dinner if I have to pay you to finish the mission, you know.

He can't help but feel you look a little familiar, though, and the more it's obvious that you're engrossed in whatever it is you're doing listening to music? the more Riku's taking the time to stare curiously.]

[In actuality, Neku's paying more attention than it looks like. He's keeping an eye on Players (especially a certain one he knows, and trying to figure why this is so different from Shibuya's-- when he catches Riku staring.]
