TEST RUN MEME!

Welcome to the Test Run meme! Post characters you intend to play with their name and canon in the subject line. If you like, you can also include whether they're Players, Reapers or RG. Participation in the meme may be used as the sample post in the application. Please assume the game is taking place in whatever type of scenery you like. We encourage you to make up your own scenarios in this meme, but here are some generic ideas:

Players
1. You've discovered you can't fight the Noise on your own! Get out there and forge a pact with someone! After that, kick some ass!

2. You're looking for clues for the mission. Fire up your player pin and scan some RGer's minds, or see if you can find a Reaper that's willing to spill the beans.

3. Your timer is gone - you did it! Celebrate your victory and another day of survival. Why not visit some of the game-sanctioned stores and reward yourself? You're visible in any building with the Reaper Decal!

Reapers
1. Today you're on duty. Set up walls throughout the city and challenge Players to meet your conditions, or just sic your Noise and be done with them!

2. Your usual duty as a Reaper has gotten a little stale. Why not liven things up with some Reaper Sports? Challenge your fellow Players and Reapers to hide and seek, tag, or even a player hunt - for a wager of course! Or maybe the bet is over, and the winner is ready to collect?

3. No one said a Reaper has to be all work and no play. The Players completed the mission for today, so now you're free to live it up! As long as you don't go outside the permanent barriers, of course. If you're hanging out with RGers, you may have to make an excuse or two.

RGers

1. Play tourist. Since this is a test meme, the sights you see are whatever you like! Go out and have fun with your friends. Alternatively, assume that the world you're transported to is terribly dangerous, and try to survive!

2. You're wondering why you were given this Ouija board when you arrived. Try it out - maybe you'll find some answers?

3. You can't seem to shake this negative attitude, and it's only getting worse. You've been possessed by Noise! Try not to go crazy! (Or don't - isn't that part of the fun?)

[It doesn't look like he remembers.]

[Blink. He has no idea who she is, but... she's wearing an Organization coat. That itself is enough to raise his suspicion a little-- after all, the last person wearing it who he didn't know kind of attacked and subdued him after helping out.

Forgive him his wariness, Xion.] .....thanks. What's with the coat? [Blunt Roxas is blunt]

... It's the only thing I own. I guess I should invest in a bigger wardrobe, huh?

[It's-- the only thing she owns? Like he used to be, in the Organization, but then...

...maybe it just looks similar. He shakes his head.] But that doesn't make any sense...

[Glancing back up at her, he takes a breath, letting some of his guard drop a little] There's a lot of shops around here. You're a... Reaper, right? [Glancing at those wings of yours, Xion]

That's right.

[She's trying to keep her pose relaxed, since Roxas doesn't remember her. For all she knows, he could be considering her a threat (which, arguably, she is) because she's a reaper.]

So, what, do I owe you something for helping me out like that? [He scruffs a hand through his hair. Yeah, he doesn't really trust her at all right now, no matter any niggling feeling of recognition that waves in his mind for a moment before fading away. Maybe it's just that she reminds him of someone, or that coat.]

Huh? Oh, no, you don't owe me anything! Don't worry about it.

[Nothing at all...? He frowns a little deeper, shifting to look around like some kind of catch is going to pop up in a hiss of light swaying its white hips and gaping a zippered mouth at him.

Okay, so he's a little scarred. When nothing pops up he looks back at Xion] .....thanks, then. Why?

... It doesn't seem fair that you have to fight a bunch of noise alone?

[... Way to end your statement with a question, Xion. Then again, it's not exactly like she can say 'It's because we're friends'. That might seem a little sketchy.]

[Don't worry, Xion, Roxas' most recent memory is being told "because we're friends" by a tall skinny redhead he didn't know only to find out that was actually true; despite his suspicion and lack of any memory, he might (maybe) be inclined to at least hear her out.

Maybe. Now she just gets a more suspicious nod] I thought Reapers didn't care how fair things were.

Well, I do.

[Because that should really mean anything coming from a reaper. Well, anything besides probably sounding far more suspicious.]

Okay, but why? You're not making any sense! [Sorry Xion Roxas' general default reaction to confusion is sparking anger]

[Roxas... What happened to you after she left?]

Look, I want to tell you, but I can't. You wouldn't understand, so please just take my word for it when I say I don't want anything bad to happen to you.

[A lot, Xion. More than he really wants to remember.

Too bad he does, even if he doesn't remember her. Now he just glares, fisting his hands tight and standing up a little straighter] Look, I'm tired of this! Just tell me why you care! I don't even know you! [It's not so much "oh no no one cares about" as "oh man not again this is the second time."

Really he should be grateful Xion's not trying to kidnap him like the last time this happened.]

If I told you you wouldn't understand. You'd think I was lying, or worse, probably. [Especially since he seems to be so angry right now.]

Please understand when I say I can't tell you. Maybe one day, but I can't right now.

[Well, at least... she seems to get that. He's still defensive, still nervous (or he is as far as his memories tell him he is, anyway), and he still watches her with more than a little suspicion] What, did you used to be friends with me too? [He means that almost entirely sarcastically, and it was said mostly to himself.]

... Something like that.

[Best friends, actually.]

[Having not expected... well, that, Roxas looks sharply up, drawing in a breath] What? You can't-- but I got all my memories back. I don't know you.

I told you it was complicated.

[Roxas just stares at her, trying to figure out if she's just messing with him, or... she seems sincere but it doesn't make any sense. He got his memories back. He remembers his time in the Organization, Axel, missions, Riku, but...

...not her. Nothing about her] But what does that mean?!

It means don't worry about it. It's not something you can change.

[And yet...]

... If you'll let me, I'd like to be friends again, at least.

...I don't even know who you are. [But he's looking at the coat, now, a little more closely. There's no way that's not an Organization coat.

What if she's lying? What if nothing else in this stupid place made sense anyway and so it probably doesn't matter if she's lying? Roxas grits his teeth, trying to think through the swirling confusing mess] ....that coat. [Frown] It's... from the Organization. Right?

It is.

[And she's fairly certain what is going through his head right now.]

....so are you like that guy, or what? Who are you? [The very least she can give him is a name]
